Volume and weight behave differently
A cup of flour and a cup of sugar do not weigh the same. Dry ingredients settle differently, so volume-to-weight conversions are approximate unless the recipe gives grams.
For baking, use weight where possible. For sauces and casual cooking, volume conversions are usually acceptable if the ingredient is not sensitive.
Temperature and pan size matter
Converting Celsius to Fahrenheit is only one part of recipe adjustment. Oven behavior, pan material, food thickness, and altitude can change cooking time.
When scaling a recipe, keep an eye on depth. Doubling ingredients in the same pan may require a different baking time even if the temperature is unchanged.
Round practical values
A kitchen scale may handle grams, while measuring spoons use fractions. Convert accurately, then round to a measurement you can actually use.
For food safety, use a thermometer and official temperature guidance instead of relying only on time conversions.
